Vitamins and Minerals for Good Health

Do you take any vitamin supplements?

You should really get all of the vitamins and minerals you need on whole from your diet. If you eat natural foods, eat a varied diet and drink plenty of water you will be getting a decent amount.

However, external pollutants and your crazy demanding life can deplete your body somewhat of certain vitamins and minerals and we take a multivitamin for this very reason.

As it’s coming up to that magical time of pass the virus around, it’s not only a good idea to take a multivitamin but also to ensure you are looking after your body with plenty of fresh foods, water, rest, activity and sleep.

All vitamins are NOT created equal.

Just the same as processed foods, processed (and cheap) vitamins contain a load of crap in the form of bulkers, fillers and chemicals. As with anything you consume, you need to read the label to know what you’re putting into your body.

You would be shocked at what they ‘fill out’ these capsules with!

We use the one below by the decent folk at Viridian who only use natural ingredients and take an ethical stand on the products they produce. If they care about what they put in their products, they also care about what you put in your body and that’s the kind of company we like.

Lack of fibre in your diet can also prevent you from absorbing vitamins and minerals properly, so ensure you have plenty of wholewheat, grains and fruit/veg in your diet for proper absorption!

Finally, alcohol inhibits the absorption of vitamins and minerals so don’t over do the tipples either if you want your body in fighting fit shape.

Focus on obtaining most of your vitamins and minerals from your nutritional intake and if you feel you need to give yourself a booster then have a look into these vitamins.

*Please Note: Before deciding to take anything new, please consult your doctor or a medical professional.
